| Once you get your hands on a good collection of seashells the possibilities are endless! Children love to explore the different colors, textures, shapes and sizes of shells. For some hidden learning, open up your own "Seashell Store" and let children have fun buying and selling their shells with some carefully priced items! |
| Step 1 Get yourself a nice collection of shells. Would you believe I found this fantastic collection at Ross of all places? Go figure. |













| Step 2 Let children have some fun exploring the shells. Give them some free play to see the different shapes, colors and textures of the shells. |
| Step 3 Talk with them about the different creatures that God has made, and that to compare and measure shells with their own body parts. |
| Step 4 Start to get your store ready for business! Let children select a shell and in with watercolor. |
| Step 5 Help them to look up the name of the shell in a reference book. Encourage them to write the name and figure out a fair price for the shell. |
| Step 6 Repeat this with other shells untill you've got them all priced. For fun have some |
| Step 7 Every Store needs a sign! Help children make a fun sign to hang by their store! |
| Step 8 Paper Cups make great shopping baskets, especially when labeled with the store logo! |

| Step 10 Make a sign for your store and open for business! |
