| Children love to garden! These crafts and activities help children personalize their gardening space with fun and frugal tips. |
| Step 1 Make yourself a big ole pile of Salt dough. Recipe Here. |
| Step 2 Find a small cylindrical container that you no longer need. |
| Step 4 Set your volcano aside to dry...maybe overnight. |
| Step 5 Find a shallow box and paint a landscape in it. |
| Step 3 Build your volcano around your container. |
| Step 6 Place your volcano into the box and paint it at well. |
| Step 7 Once the paint is dry it's time to set of your volcano! Pour a tablespoon of baking soda into the container. |
| What better way to finish off your volcano unity study, then by making your very own errupting volcano! This is a great project for children of all ages, and provides a fantastic opportunity for children to try their hand at presenting their work. |
| Step 10 Stand back and watch your volcano erupt! |
| Step 8 Mix vinagar with red food coloring (because it's lava!) |
| Step 9 Slowly pour your vinagar into the container. |
| Let it erupt and continue to pour in the vinagar for multiple bursts! Here are a few shots we got of our erupting volcano! |
