Step 1 Choose some fun paper for your sandals. We picked two different colors of Origami paper (5 7/8" square). It takes half of a sheet per sandal. Any decorative paper works good!
Remove the top part of the box, and paint them black. You can paint the entire top, or just the "thong" part of the sandal.
Step 3 Using your decoupage glue, paint a layer onto the bottom part of the sandal.
Place your paper over the glue, doing your best to line up the top of the paper with the top of the sandal. Add another layer of glue.
Step 6 If you want, you can add a little felt bottom to your sandals. Just trace the soles onto a piece of craft felt and cut out.
Step 5 Once dry, go around the bottom edge and cut any extra paper that is hanging over.
Step 7 Glue the felt to the bottoms of your sandals using your glue. Don't use too much because it will sop through the felt.
Step 8 Set the lids on your sandal boxes, and allow to dry for a couple of hours.
Find a special place to keep these little sandals. Think of some fun things you can store inside them (money, bible verses, paper scrolls....)
