Red Heart
Robbins
Children can make these
adorable Robins with hearts
cut in half.  This is a great
way to remind children that
God loves and provides for
all his creation.

Bird
Crafts
  • Read about God's love and
    providence for all creatures,
    especially mankind who was
    created in his image.
  • What types of trees do robins build
    their nests in?
  • How does a robin sound?  (Listen
    Here)
  • What does God say about the birds
of the air, and his love for us?
    (Matthew 6:25-26)
Step 1
Cut your foam hearts in half.  (We
picked up foam heart stickers in the
discount Valentine's Day stuff, look
for the sales right before Spring!)
You can also cut out felt hearts or
even construction paper.
Step 2
Glue or stick the hearts onto the
sheet of paper.  Show children how
to draw little birds using the hearts
as the little red bellies of the birds.
Step 3
Encourage them to fill their paper
with lots of robins....maybe a
Mommy, a Daddy.....you can even
use smaller hearts to make the baby
birds.
All Done!
Add lots of background
scenery......a nest, some tree
branches and a bright blue Spring
Sky.  Older children can write the
bible verse on the back of the
sheet, and the little hearts can
remind them of God's love for us,
and how he will take care of our
needs.
