Discussion

  • Show children images of our solar system.
  • Talk about the difference between each of
the planets. (colors, sizes, distances, rings
    ect.....)
  • Teach children how amazing it is that
God put Earth in just the right spot, we're
not to close or to far away from the sun.
This colorful craft can be out of this world if you use Glow in the Dark
paint!  Children love how easy it is to make something so spectacular, and
it opens up discussions on God's marvelous creation.
Step 1
Get a styrofoam ball and choose an old CD
that you no longer need.
Step 2
Slice your ball in half with a knife....be
careful, this is kind of tricky :)
Step 3
Use you're Glow in the Dark paint to add
colors all around the planet. Remind
children why planets are different colors.
The Planets in
Our Solar
System
You live on Earth,
so you already
know a lot about
it. But do you
know about its
place in out solar
system? For
instance, it's not
the largest planet.
If Jupiter were a
hallow ball,
1,000 Earths
would fit inside it.
And did you
know our planet
Earth takes 365
days to go around
the sun, while the
planet Pluto takes
248 years?
