Organizing
it all....
Here are some ideas for organizing your
homeschool materials.  We arrange our
classroom differently every year, as each
child's individual needs are addressed
recent photos of our classroom soon!
We keep the majorite of our materials in
our Chidren's Office, we utilize many of
our closets and additional storage
centers to keep our lives organized.
Most of our
crafting supplies are stored
in these fun bins I picked up at Walmart,
but the rest of the books and materials
are in various locations.
When I realized that not all of our Craft /
Homeschool supplies were going to fit
into to Walmart and picked up this
handy storage cabninet.  This thing is
not the sturdiest piece of furniture we
own :) but it does the job quite nicely
and I'm depending on it to withstand
the test of time (at least for then next
couple of years!)
Inside is where I keep our "Daily" homeschool supplies (books, games, manipulatives that we
use on a daily basis)  You can see the different puzzles and games that I keep on hand.  Alot
discount store called Ross (for about $4.99 a piece.)

On the top shelf (i.e. out of reach from the children) I keep all my daily homeschool books.  I've
got my favorite set of reference books, our bible devotionals and of course all of my personal
homeschool supplies (like "Mommy Scissors", glue, staplers, stickers ect.)
I keep all of the stuff I need access to
in a handy little plastic tote.  That way I
can move from place to place and still
have most of the resources that I use
on hand.
Anyway, I also like to keep lots of books
on hand for the kids to read.  These
books used to take up lots of shelves in
our house (you such a difficult time due
to the fact that every time you pull a few
books out, the rest of the books on the
shelf tumble over) I decided to utilize
these handy storage bins instead.  I got
these get at......) and I've organized the
books into different categories.  And
even though they're "unlabled"
(something I hope to do shortly) my kids
are able to keep their books clean
before!
This bin holds all of
our "Early Reader"
books.  I've to back
by level, to make it
a bit easier for
everyone!
And of course, since we love to play
games so  much, we've got quite a few
more games and puzzles in our closets as
well.  These are games that I'm less likely
to use during Homeschool time, and more
likely for free play or fun time.  (Though
sometimes they cross paths depending
on the themes we're learning about.
With all these games around our house, and with
both children having access to them at their will,
we often run into the problem of "The Missing or
some other tragedy of the sorts.  So I've added
this little box to our game closet that is the place
to put ANY and ALL game pieces that are found
through out the house.  (You can see we've got a
few from Boggle, Connect Four, probably in my
way when I was vacuuming or something?
Anyway, it's a good system.
