Today is My Last Day

I won’t be teaching Sunday School Anymore.

No more “Miss Valerie”

Starting next week:

I’ll be demoted to just “Regular Old Valerie”

Kinda makes me sad

It’s been really fun over the last few months getting to know all the little boys and girls in my “Bunny” class.

I wonder if they’ll miss me.

Some of them like me…..I just know it.

Others couldn’t care less…..they haven’t even noticed my belly!

(Or that I waddle into class every morning)
(Or that I can’t pick them up anymore)
(Or that I waddle right back out of class to use the restroom)
(Or that I sweat like a pig during storytime)

Oh, to be 2 and Oblivious again!

2 1/2 going on 3 has been a fun age to teach.

(Exhausting……Frustrating……and sometimes even Dirty………

but most of the time: FUN!

I don’t know what I’ll do with all the extra time next Sunday?

I suppose I could stay on a few more weeks

And risk going into LABOR during Circle Time

How would that be for an Object Lesson?

“You see boys and girls……….Remember how Eve ate that apple
…….YES…Children…..
That is why Miss Valerie is screaming right now………….”

Yeah, better just stay “Plain Old Valerie” for a while….

at least till this whole Pregnancy thing blows over
