Mom: Bubba, are you ready for me to check your room.
Bubba: Yes, but can you just not check the closet.
Mom: Did you get some breakfast yet.
Bubba: Yeah, and I fixed the lid of the whip cream so you couldn’t tell.
Me Thinks: (He is so silly, what is he thinking?)
A Quiet Voice: (You’re so silly too.)
Sometimes it’s so funny to read about a little child who thinks they are covering up their sins but they are actually being so obvious as to announce them boldly to their parents.
Kinda makes me wonder what God laughs at me about.
(I would be overstating my accomplishments to say that I am an infant in Christ, but for the purpose of comparison, lets pretend that Bubba to Me is like Me to God.)
What is it that I am trying to cover or hide

God I gave some money to the church okay
can you just not look in my wallet.
God I didn’t mention you to the neighbor
but I’ll pray that you call them.
God I love you and will obey you
can you just not search my heart.
Sounds funny when it’s all written out like that right?
But seriously, what am I thinking sometimes?
Thinking I’m able to hide in a few bushes,
When God can see the very core of my soul.
I’ll pretend the problems will just resolve themselves if I ignore them long enough
When he can measure the space between every atom of my existence……
It is all so obvious to God that I wonder if he sometimes chuckles at my never-ending futile attempts to cover up my shortfalls…….instead of spending half the time actually fixing them.

So funny, and true :D
Thanks for a giggle this morning. I appreciate all you do.
Have a beautiful day, Valerie.
Blessings,
Loni
These very thoughts go through my head too when I hear some of
the craziness my kiddos do/say. :)
God must get some really good laughs out of us. :) Well, I’m sure
He does out of me. Lots of head shaking. Sighing. Head scratching.
