One "carschooling" thing we've done is to listen to our read-alouds books on CD - especially useful for road trip-type car rides. We've gone through Hans Brinker, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Pilgrim's Progress, as well as a few others. It also helps to keep people quiet ;-) Great idea!! And I love the idea of a tote bag just for car school - why didn't I think of that?! I don't know where you live but where we are, we do a lot of traveling on the interstate. I have put a blank outline map of the US on clipboards for the kids and we color the states in as we see the license plates. Great fun! We also play the alphabet game - find the letters (in order) on signs, license plates, wherever. Thanks for a great blog! Another Valerie I LOVE this!
