Good job, Mommy, for having a sense of humor! Praying your little guy heals fast and takes it easy for a while ;) We’ve only been to the ER once for our little guy–stitches at age 3–He split his chin open on his bike helmet chin-strap (bike helmets are suppossed to keep you safe, right?) when he crashed into a wall while riding his bike. At three he didn’t have much control over his bike yet, and just like to go FAST!! Not an experience I’d like to repeat, but just knowing it’s going to happen eventually is what really keeps me up at night, lol!!

Not necessarily ER trips thanks to urgent care being opened but we havd stitches at age 2 almost three in his finger. A chipped pushed up back into the gum tooth and eventually had to have that pulled out about a month before thi. jA year or so later jumped off a toy in the play area at the mall and injured foot and had to have x-rays to make sure not broke. I keep telling myself that if he can handle it I will to.

Oh Valerie… I have 4 boys… I feel for ya! Ive been to the ER several times… Once for one of them swallowing a screw as he tried dismantling the baby gate! One cracked his head open on his night stand while jumping in bed, and the screw-eater dove into his bed once,and caught a nail in the wall (with his head – 3 stitches)
Just keep praying… God will watch over you all. :)

We have been fortunate not to have a trip to the ER with our almost 6 year old
but I know it has nothing to do with me!! I was one of those parents that
thought it won’t happen to me, and it hasn’t. I just hope it won’t be
because it’s going to be a doozy. Glad you’re all on the mend.

Not fun {or funny}, but been there, done that, paid that hospital bill. :)

We even had a fun adventure to visit the pediatric plastic surgeon ~ all
thanks to a sippy cup thrown by one well-aiming sister. :)

I don’t even want to think about what is ahead in our future with two very
active boys… :)

So, I’m totally impressed you actually came up with a full alphabet of letters. And to answer your question, we actually joke that we rate our vacations based on how good the local ER is, sad to say our home ER is not all that great, it’s good, but not great.
Hang in there, I’m sure you’ll have more trips, and it gets easier as you realize they understand.
Oh, and just don’t joke at the ER “Of course it’s an accident, what do you think I beat my kids?”
